I walk with death at my side
one, two, three
Footsteps that do not belong to me
Looking back, I leave no trace
A fact my psyche’s embraced
The light that leads the way
Always fades
WITH time, as if they’re
holding hands
My path, snowed over
Desolate landscapes, Always
Death’s my company in these
Times of boredom
He does not see like me,
Appreciating the very essence of
My abilities
They keep him busy. Me too.
I walk with death at my side
one, two, three,
Footsteps that do not belong to me
NOTES:
I crafted this poem from a poem I had written in 2005. I went through a very dark phase, but a pleasant one. My curiosity about death and murderers and psychology and why we do what we do to one another peaked, and I guess it showed in my poetry too. Hah.

Wonderful!
